Welcome to my practice

First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my web page. For me, the art of psychotherapy is a lifetime commitment. I feel honored and blessed with the opportunity to work with people who are brave to embark on the journey of self-discovery.

As a psychotherapist, I believe that for each person exist two types of realities, one that is internal and the other one external. The internal reality of a person is composed by past experiences (including some that a person might not be aware), and it is influenced by the person’s genetic predisposition. The internal reality of a person becomes a reference point from which he or she can experience the external world. In a way, the past becomes a window to the outside world. If the individual is not conscious of this, a tendency to see the present in terms of the past will begin.

The work of therapy is to acknowledge both realities and follow the ways in which they interplay. Doing this work allows people to live in the present and to recognize when the tint of the past is shining through. Reconciling with the past is the journey of wholeness. Making peace with the past does not mean to forgive or to forget. It means to be able to hold the past until we are able to find its hidden meaning. I invite you to embark on the journey of self-discovery. Together we will begin the descent, you leading the way and having me as your witness.
